We camped at the Quality Inn RV Park, at Zion's south entrance, in Springdale, UT.
Automobiles are banned during the summer tourist months.  Visitors to the park are transported via the free shuttle buses.
The 5-mile round-trip strenuous trail to Angel's Landing climbs 1,488 feet.  Visitors are warned that the steep cliffs are not for the faint of heart.
19th century Momon pioneers saw these sculpted rocks as natural temples of God.  They called the canyon "Little Zion" after the celestial city.  However, the individual rock formations were named by a Methodist minister who was so taken with the canyon's beauty.  Pictured here are The Great White Throne and The Organ.
Everywhere you look in the canyon, you are surrounded by God's beauty.
The Virgin River, which flows through the canyon, has its beginnings in Navajo Lake 60 miles away.  The river is fed by snowmelt and many springs and never dries up.
Seems that this cute little rock squirrel stole part of someone's picnic.  There are strict regulations against feeding wildlife in the park with large fines for violators.  Oops!  Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed on the park's trails or Harley might have had a snack, too.
We took a 3-mile hike to the Lower, Middle and Upper Emerald Pools.  It was a really hot day - about 90 degrees.  This is the Lower Pool.
