On the road to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.  This was taken north of Bakersfield, CA.
On the way we stopped at Paradise Cove, a little-used Corps of Engineers campground.  We had to boondock because no utilities were available but it was such a beautiful setting.
The closer we got to Sequoia National Park, the prettier the scenery became.
Somehow, we never knew that just 50 miles north of Bakersfield, the landscape was so beautiful.
Just outside the boundary of Sequoia and Kings Canyon Parks was a beautiful little fruit growing area.  This picture happens to be in the town of Lemon Cove.
A view of Horsehead Creek Park where we spent three nights while touring the national parks. This was another Corps of Engineers campground.
About seven miles from our campground was the entrance to Sequoia NP.  The road climbed and climbed for miles as we drove deeper into the park.
Getting excited now!
Wow!  These majestic trees are just magnificent.  It seems like the two of us cannot get enough of the big trees.
