As we worked our way to the top of the pass, the wildflowers were spectacular.
As you notice, there is little vegetation at the top of the 12,800 foot pass.  It was 51 degrees at the top with dust and winds at 35-40 miles per hour, but what a spectacular view!
A typical view of the shelf roads you encounter on the high mountain jeep trails.  Have you ever seen a bluer sky?  The Canadians call this "impossible blue" because you just can't descibe it.
Another view from the top of Engineer Pass as we begin our trek down.
And yet another view - notice the snow still on the mountaintops.
As we began our descent, we could see many roads leading to unknown destinations.
Denver Lake, another beautiful alpine sight.
