On our way to Rocky Mountain National Park, we spent a couple of nights in Central City, now a casino town.  The only gambling we did was on ice cream cones!  The bet paid off - they were delicious.

One of Harley's favorite nap spots.
Maggi and Sam arrived on August 20 and we went into HIGH tourist mode.
Not long after entering Rocky Mountain National Park, we spotted a mule deer who was not the least bit afraid of us.
We were so sad to see that the American Pine Beetle has found RMNP.  At least half the trees in the park are dead.
We enjoyed a short hike alongside Lake Irene.
