One of the beautiful streets of Savannah.  The city was founded in 1733 by James Oglethorpe.  Oglethorpe was a British general, a philanthropist, and the founder of the colony of Georgia.  He was responsible for the the layout of the city including all the squares and the beautiful live oaks present in the city today.
Chippewa Square, one of twenty-two 18th and 19th century public squares.  They are all so beautiful.  Savannah is, by far, the prettiest OLD city we have seen.
First Baptist Church, built in 1833, is Savannah's oldest standing church.
In the movie Something to Talk About, Julia Roberts stands outside in her gown and robe and spies on her husband, played by Dennis Quaid, having dinner with his mistress.  Shame on him!
We camped at River's End Park on Tybee Island and spent lots of time bicycling.  We loved the laid-back ambiance of the island.
The historic Tybee Island Light Station.
We had dinner here.  Bubba is Paula Deen's brother.
