We took a VIP tour which enabled us to get up close and personal with one of the launch pads.
Apollo 14 - the actual capsule that went to the moon and back under the command of Alan Shepard.  Shepard was the first American in space.  John Glenn was the first American in orbit.  Such heroes!
One little bit of space trivia:  There have been a total of 299 man hours walking on the moon by 12 astronauts.  No one has walked on the moon in 30 years.  Interestingly, men walked on the moon only from 1969 through 1972.  To our knowledge, no woman has ever walked on the moon but the only perfect shuttle landing ever was done by a woman.  And they complain about our driving!
Inside Apollo 14 - not much room!  While we were at the NASA center, Jerry rode in a G-force trainer in which he experienced a pull of 4 Gs.  You should have heard his commentary during the experience - it was a hoot!
