Welcome to Death Valley National Park.  Parts of the Park are below sea level, hot and desolate.
You can see the long, lonely road as we entered Death Valley.
It is so dry and hot here the ground is barren and virtually unusable by humans.
Periodically the landscape changed.  Here we see large sand dunes off to the right.
The landscape is almost moon-like as far as the eye can see.
Here is a great shot of the road stretching out for miles and miles.  There was very little traffic in the Park.

As we approached the west end of the Park, more greenery appeared as did a few insects.
