Dressed to the nines on Derby Day.  No, that's not Bubba in the photo.
Some of the many interesting hats we saw.
Our "campground" at the fairgrounds.  Not fancy but it sure was crowded - ha!
After the Derby, we camped near Bowling Green and enjoyed fellowship with 2 other couples from the caravan.  While there, the 6 of us toured the National Corvette Museum and Assembly Plant.  Bowling Green is the only Corvette plant in the country.  The tour of the plant was wonderful but, unfortunately, we couldn't take photos.  We were impressed by the attention to detail and the many processes that were hand-done.  Only 150 Corvettes roll off the assembly line each day.
Jerry loved the tour and museum.  I'm thankful to have gotten him out of the assembly plant without ordering a new Corvette!
The museum was really well done with many "flashbacks" to the past.
An interesting note about Corvette:  If you order your new Corvette to be picked up at the factory, you receive a 5-hour orientation when you pick it up.  Know any other American cars that offer that?  This couple is almost ready to drive their new baby home.
