Harley loves the wildflowers, too!
Climbing above the tree line toward Animas Forks Ghost Town.
Along the way, we spotted a beautiful mule deer doe, resting alongside the creek.
Animas Forks experienced its first silver strike in 1875.  At its peak, it was home to about 1,500 residents and is one of Colorado's best ghost towns.
Animas Forks has about a dozen buildings that are still standing.  Columbus Mill still stands, as well as an elaborate house with a bay window.
A beautiful picnic spot in Animas Forks.  Harley says "Where's the Vienna sausage, Dad?"
More beautiful back country.  Lots of oohs and ahhs on this day trip.
How'd you like to have this cabin complete with running water?
